Megan discovers that she can teleport to any place within Merridiah she desires, and she and Adrien have spent many months alone together exactly where she desires: thousands of miles away from Merridiah University, in an city-sized castle keep that was once the home of giants. Yet the many creatures of Merridiah are terrified at the idea of Megan's divine unity with the Muse to the Muse, and thus after a meeting of Merridiah's leaders, Damien hatches a plan to imprison Megan within University grounds. While devious schemes are hatched, Adrien finds a collection of bottles washed up onto the shores of Merridiah. Inside are the many messages to his long lost half-sister from another time on Earth, Ellie. Linear time means little to the denizens of Merridiah, and for the first time we see the life that all of the muses, Megan included, once lived together on Earth, England, in the 1890’s. From childhood to young adulthood, Victorian Adrien and Damien vie for the love of Megan and Ellie. Just one kiss can set the history for life, or the afterlife, in an eternal loop.
